Minnesota Mini Sessions

A mini-session is a small version of a full session. They are held as a day-long event at one location.


Lifestyle Mini Sessions are all about genuine connections and capturing candid moments. We use prompts to bring out natural reactions during the shoot. If you'd like traditional portraits with everyone looking at the camera, consider one of our standard full family sessions. These longer sessions offer a mix of lifestyle and traditional photography, with the added flexibility of more time and outfit changes.


Sessions are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis. To secure your time slot, full payment is required at the time of booking.

Fall and Holiday Minis are in high demand and sell out every year. If a time slot is unavailable on the booking link, it has already been reserved.

These sessions focus on capturing candid, lifestyle moments filled with genuine emotions and reactions. Traditional posed photos with everyone looking at the camera are not guaranteed with the shorter session length. If you prefer traditional portraits, please contact us to book a standard full session.

Mini Sessions are versatile! They're not just for families with kids—you can book for yourself, with your partner, best friends, or even your dogs!

ABOUT

  • A non-refundable retainer fee is required at the time of online booking to secure your session.
  • Prior to your scheduled session, you will receive an email containing an information sheet with the session address, a questionnaire, and other essential details.
  • Your session includes fully edited color images delivered as digital files only—no physical prints are provided.
  • Please plan to arrive 10–15 minutes early to account for parking, traffic, and settling in. This ensures a smooth and stress-free experience.
  • Late Policy: If you arrive more than 10 minutes late, your session and all fees paid will be forfeited. As sessions are scheduled back-to-back, time cannot be extended for late arrivals.

EXTRA / LIMITS

  • Each mini session is limited to one outfit, as there isn’t enough time to accommodate full outfit changes.
  • We welcome pets for most outdoor locations and select studios—just let us know in advance to confirm.
  • Sessions are capped at six people. If your group is larger, please inquire about booking two slots or consider scheduling a regular session.
  • Mini sessions are not suitable for newborn photography, one-year cake smashes, events, or milestone sessions, as these require more setup time. For these, please contact us for regular session pricing.

DELIVERY

  • A gallery of images will be sent to you via email, allowing you to select the number of images included in your chosen mini session package.
  • Additional digital images can be purchased if you wish to exceed the image limit of your package.
  • The selection of images is your responsibility. Once you've made your choices, please email me. I will edit your final selections.
  • After the editing process is complete, you will receive access to a private, password-protected online gallery where you can download your finalized images.
